Greater Evansville Ball Halls of Fame Follow Up Press Conference
Evansville, IN, August 17, 2017 – The Greater Evansville Ball Halls of Fame held their first press conference yesterday, August 16th at Metro Sports Center. At the conference the facility renderings were unveiled and the Capital Campaign to build the facility was introduced. The GEBHOF facility will be built off of Lynch Road and Interstate 69 at 2910 Diego Drive. The 9,600 square foot Greater Evansville Ball Halls of Fame facility will be constructed on 1.61 acres overlooking a small pond in Evansville, Indiana. The facility will have a 150 person banquet hall for future events; Hall of Fame sections (national and local) for The National Semi-Pro Baseball HOF, Greater Evansville Baseball HOF, Greater Evansville Basketball HOF, Greater Evansville Football HOF, and Greater Evansville Golf HOF; a covered patio with a deck and outside seating for entertainment; brick walks and walls of honor located outside the facility; and a gift shop. The facility will also honor local individuals who have made an impact in the sports community outside of baseball, basketball, football and golf categories.
There are multiple opportunities to get involved with the GEBHOF 2.5 million dollar Capital Campaign. Individuals, or businesses, can now sponsor a branded 12×12 piece of granite that will make up the floor of the facility, become a Title Sponsor of an exhibit area, donate sports memorabilia, or become a Foundation Member of the GEBHOF. “These are just a few ways that our community can help make this national destination a reality.” says GEBHOF Director, Tim Turpin. “Our organization is ready to discuss how community advocates can become an active participant in the building of this facility.” Community members can also help build the facility by attending any of our upcoming community events.
